Brinker: Trump has all the qualities needed to be a GOP contender

I really feel sorry for you Calvin. I mean, after you impugn the writing abilities of most students at KU, how dare anyone point out your errors?

It's "graded on a curve" Calvin. Thanks for straying off the subject to be pedantic. Yes I realize I am doing the same, but I wasn't really trying to contribute.

Free: Some Kansas lawmakers still oppose the legality of homosexuality

Aw that's cute, Calvin. Do you want a medal? I'll let my points stand and you can go back to a place where "sit down" is met with a cower.

Harris: Rebecca Black: living proof today’s society glorifies the talentless

I think "Friday" is definitely something that needs to be politicized, so thanks for coming through Thatcher and metacognition.

It's a terribly bad song with a cheesy music video that makes us all laugh at the lengths that some people will go to in order to make their children famous. Read about Ark Music Factory, the label that put out this tripe, and you'll find that this is what they do. A recorded song for a rich kid.

Thatcher, just a quick response, Alicia Keys talent has nothing to do with her views. She can write a good song without being a good person.

Free: Some Kansas lawmakers still oppose the legality of homosexuality

"Let me remind Ms Free of something; slavery used to be legal (as is homosexuality now) but we revere the memory of those who stood against it even when they lost prior to the civil war."

I said you IMPLIED with the above comment that homosexuality may be outlawed or is something to be outlawed whether that was your intent or not. Do you feel better in believing that you have "won" a discussion on the internet or did you just want to call someone a liar.

First of all Calvin, I'm not trying to win anything. It is a discussion on the internet. I wrote that you IMPLIED homosexuality may be outlawed. Look at the comment above, you compare the legality of slavery and homosexuality. The implication is slavery is now illegal maybe one day homosexuality will be and the people who were against it will be seen in a different light. Although you may not have meant it in that way that is how the words read. You just wanted to say liar right?

What a ridiculous example clearly shaded by your own past. Jane Lynch was an actress on a red carpet. That is not a workplace as she was not being paid to attend the award show. Talking about "Aunt Flo" is a bit different than recounting lurid sexual activities, and given that she is a comedian are you really that surprised that she would take an opportunity to make a joke.

I was fine with your previous examples and was willing to let dogs lie, but first you imply that homosexuality may be outlawed and you will be seen as a crusader in the fight against that "evil" and then bring up a woman talking about a natural occurrence as an example of what, bad taste? Laughable.

Calvin, you are making a different argument. I asked for an example of hypocrisy relating to sexual conduct. What you have provided is a list of acts which, if true, are abhorrent. However, none of these is an example of a person who persecutes a lifestyle in public while secretly engaging in said lifestyle in private. Again I agree those are horrible acts, but they are of a different nature.

Calvin, you apparently missed the point I was making. By the way, could you please define liberal moralists? Outrage about Larry Craig had nothing to do with homosexual activity. It was outrage that a person who demonizes homosexual acts participated in said acts.

Our problem lies in the fact that you see sexuality as a black and white, right and wrong concept, whereas I see it as a spectrum. I believe that a person can have any type of consensual sexual activity they want as long as they are honest about it. If you could point out a liberal gay politician who railed against people having heterosexual sex while he was secretly paying for female "companionship" then you would be making a comparable argument.

Calvin, you are comparing apples and oranges. Larry Craig and Mark Foley were militantly anti-homosexual in their public lives so it was indeed hypocritical of them to engage in homosexual activities in their private lives. A "gay" person who goes down the "straight" path once in awhile is referred to as bisexual and there is nothing hypocritical about their activities unless they are out there condemning the sin of heterosexual sex and its effects on society while they are lying with the opposite sex.
