Landlords, city in dispute

this story points out more than a specified number of adults in a home
as a ZONING VIOLATION.

how would you like to live near a single family converted to
CONGREGANT HOUSING?

1700 Louisiana is an example.

It's not single family anymore!

the problem with this type of violation is that no one asked that it really be REZONED for FRAT/SOROITY!

Landlords, city in dispute

unfortunately both the KANSAN and LJW are writing a very narrow story
about rentals in Lawrence and conflicts with ZONING.

we all know that there are many violaters.

an unreported story? in the same general category?

so called 'Congregant Housing' wherein a single family house is converted to
a Frat/Soroity ANNEX for over 21 members to drink!

Oread Inn proposal up for review by City Commission

on the last HRC application only 4,000 sq. ft. was designated retail out of an approximate total of 100,000 for the project.
how is that more neighborhood commercial ?
that is not much more than the existing buildings provide if at all - and apparently that 4,000 is for a restaurant ?
