OldGoldLegs, you don't really know the current leaders. You may have met them, seen them across a room a couple of times, or even had a conversation with them, but it seems your opinion's of them are shaped by their opponents who are the one's contacting you... That's why your personal attacks on them are so weird. You don't know them, but seem to be so invested in them.
Maybe you should contact them, ya know, hear the other side. Then again, maybe it would still be best to move on...
From now on, every time you comment I am going to remind you that you haven't been in Student Senate in years; you don't know these people AND, by your own admission, don't know the issues.
I am also going to encourage you to get a life. Perhaps you should move away from KU for a little while. It would probably be healthy. You could talk to all of your other senate buddies, after all, they have all moved on.
You are correct. I should have provided a link. Not sure how this is relevant to the article we're commenting on, but sjschlag seems a bit uninformed. Hopefully this will help him out:
Former students who paid the Required Campus Fee anytime during the time frame of Fall 1998 and Summer 2003 are eligible for membership. These individuals will receive access (i.e. membership at no cost) for each semester they were enrolled at the KU - Lawrence campus and paid the Required Campus Fee during the aforementioned time period. Verification must occur before the KU Photo ID or SRFC Photo ID is activated. Membership cards and enrollment verification are available in the SRFC Administrative Office 103. At times verification of past enrollment information may not be immediate. Memberships must be reactivated for each semester of intended use. Former student semesters are non-transferable.
It might be worth your time to research how the rec currently compensates those who contributed while they were at the university all while the rec was being constructed.
Otherwise, making comments like that make you sound goofy.
Didn't we hear this exact same meaningless crap out of "ConnectKU"? Come to think of it, the word "connect" was mentioned 5 times in this article..... very telling.
Attn: Kansan,
If you weren't as obvious in your biased coverage of Student Senate, maybe people would take your endorsements seriously.
Editorial: Students can’t afford to ignore their Senate
Connorm,
I agree. They aren't easy to read. Senate needs to get on that.
They have been up for longer than 3 weeks however. Try since November.

Excellent editorial. There's a lot that KU has to offer that students should take advantage of.
