Calvin, you miss the point and keep on going. As long as two adults do not have the right to marry, they do not have equal rights. Anti-gay marriage referendums like the ones you refer to are discrimination on an institutional level, and just because they are popular in some places does not make them superior or right in any way.
Scroll down to 1.2 to read the mission statement. It has existed for several years. It is in the copy of Rules and Regs that every member of Senate is supposed to have. It is quoted in literally EVERY PIECE OF LEGISLATION.
See, here's the thing: yeah, that heavy spending is typical for Senate, but it's also why, two years ago, it damn near ran out of money early in the spring semester.
Two things: 1. VAWA is bigger than a Biden thing, and he's not the first to introduce it.
2. Shelters for women exist because women are more frequently the ones placed in mortal danger. That doesn't excuse violence against men being downplayed (I completely agree with you there), of course, but it's not a feminist conspiracy, and there is no "industry" for domestic violence.
Very sad news. I'd met her a few times, in entirely casual circumstances, though am a little embarrassed to admit that I didn't actually know her name through most of it.
I love how they switch between it being "Student Senate" and "KUnited". Used to be that the Prez and VP were professional enough to acknowledge that they weren't running their coalition once they got into office, and that they had more concerns than a political party.
Two blocks away is not on top of something. And the issue of freedom of religion is brought up because so many people criticize the center on the basis of what religion it is designed for. They say that a Muslim community center is inappropriate due to the location, yet would probably not utter a peep if it were a YMCA.
