This is one of the most common questions I get, "What size are rsvp cards and envelopes, and do you have templates?" The answer is yes and it is very simple.
The standard wedding rsvp card size is 3 1/2" x 4 7/8" or a1 size and the envelopes are 3 5/8*' x 5 1/8" which is the smallest mailable size.
A good rule of thumb for response time is 3 to 6 weeks from the event, and there are too many variables to list in this, such as caterers, rental space etc.
To the printing. There are a few good suppliers of rsvp cards and envelopes, diypapers.com being one of them and they offer free wedding templates on just about every wedding stationery item you can think of. For free wording ideas, verseit.com can't be beat, every wording and saying for every occasion you could ever think of. The template file is sized to the dimensions and orientation of your invitation. To verify these dimensions within Word, go to File>Page Setup or depending on your software version, Page Layout>Size>More Paper Sizes. Note the Width, Height, and Orientation (Portrait or Landscape). You will need this information in step 6.

The template includes sample invitation wording that you can edit. Replace the wording with your own. If you need help with invitation wording verseit.com offers free wording ideas. Insert the invitation, short edge first, into the printer’s sheet feeder. In an inkjet printer, the right side of the invitation should rest flush against the right side of the sheet feeder. Slide the adjustable edge guide so it meets the left edge of the invitation. In a laser printer, open the manual feed door and place the invitation between the two adjustable guides. Adjust the guides so that they meet the edges of the card. Printing Template Inkjet Printer Laser Printer Access Your Print Driver and Input a Custom Size
